Heat Wave in Southern Vermont

Posted on: July 9th, 2010 by Patti Eddington

Summertime in Vermont

Yes, we’re having a heat wave here in North Bennington…..as they are all along the East coast of the US and into Canada.  Fortunately our guest rooms here at the Eddington House Inn are air-conditioned …so at least it is possible to sleep.

Most of our area attractions are also air-conditioned so it is a great time to check out our local museums.  Dorset Theatre Festival is offering a great play “The Pavilion”, in air- conditioned comfort.  Our lakes and rivers are ready for swimming, kayaking and canoeing.  Lake Paran is located right behind the inn and is a great place to enjoy a warm “hot” Vermont day.

Things are still green and lush though we really could use some rain…at 3am like in Camelot of course.

You can escape to Vermont and still “keep your cool”.
