Season of Mystery – Writer Presentation Series
The Eddington House Inn was host to award winning author Kenneth Wishnia and his lovely wife Mercy last evening. Ken was in Bennington, Vermont to give a presentation on mystery writing as part of Bennington’s Season of Mystery. Ken’s crime fiction has been nominated for the Edgar and Anthony awards. In addition to his writing, Ken currently teaches composition, literature and creative writing at Suffolk Community College. Ken’s wife, Mercy teaches Spanish as well as an English composition class to ESL students in a high school near their home in Long Island. Ken and Mercy have two children.
Ken just released his 6th novel The Fifth Servant which combines historical details of 16th century Prague with compelling mystery. A great deal of historical research has gone into this novel making it rich and intelligent as well as compelling.
Ken & Mercy enjoyed their brief stay in Bennington having dinner at Kevin’s, an evening at Mt Anthony Country Club and an overnight stay with breakfast this morning here at the Eddington House.
Locally, Ken’s work can be found at the Bennington Bookstore in downtown Bennington. Thanks to Ken & Mercy for making the trip to Bennington and for participating in our Season of Mystery. To learn more about Ken and his writing go to www.kennethwishnia.com.
