Fall Foliage – Bennington Vermont
Posted on: October 22nd, 2010 by Patti EddingtonDon’t miss the leaves in Southern Vermont
The Bennington area is still brightly showing its
fall colors. I have been directing guests to three of my favorite spots….Monument Avenue, Southern Vermont College and Carpenter Hill. Since high school I have been taking drives along the ridge of Mt Anthony and taking in the amazing views from the Everett Mansion and the panaramic views along Carpenter Hill Road. Monument Avenue is still ablaze and the view from the Bennington Battle Monument is a treat.
Brilliant yellows and oranges still create a patchwork quilt effect along Mt Anthony and the views from the top of the hill are breathtaking.
Thought skiing is not far off (our neighboring mountains have already received snow)fall foliage is still present in Bennington and Pownal valley.
Hope to see you soon.
