Bennington Vermont is well known for the arts and history. This month, the Bennington Center for the Arts,
a non-profit arts complex, gears up for their summer season with trumpeter and composer, Gabriel Alegria. Alegria has developed a unique form of World Jazz that combines his distinctive approach to the jazz trumpet with the rich heritage of Afro-Peruvian music.
The concert begins at 7:30pm on Friday May 14. Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door.
The Bennington Center for the Arts is 10 minutes from our Vermont bed and breakfast on Route 9 at Gypsy Lane in Bennington. This complex also houses Oldcastle Theatre Company and the Vermont Covered Bridge Museum. For more information call 802-442-7158 or visit www.benningtoncenterforthearts.org.
I hope you can arrange a getaway to Southern Vermont sometime this summer. The Eddington House Inn can assist with dinner reservations, directions …everything you need to make your stay an interesting and pleasant one.
