Bennington Mayfest 2010 – 25th Anniversary - Bennington Vermont
Planning a Vermont getaway. Join us for Mayfest, Vermont’s largest juried arts & crafts festival to be held in downtown Bennington Vermont on Saturday May 29, 2010. Artisans and specialty food vendors come from all over to participate in Vermont’s premiere spring kickoff event. Mayfest takes place on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend every year. Mayfest artisans or their family members create and design all wares sold. In 2009 over 12,000 people attended.
The recent addition of over 10 live entertainment venues took the event to a new level adding excitement and turning Mayfest into a day-long event.
In downtown Bennington Vermont, Main Street becomes a pedestrian only thoroughfare for Mayfest; the street will be filled with fantastic artisans and entertainers.
Mayfest plays host to some of the finest jewelers, potters and art displays that can be seen anywhere in New England. In addition to quality crafters you will find many of the area’s fine non-profit organizations.

Bennington Vermont will host a season of mystery from April through October 2010. Vermont visitors and locals will have plenty of opportunities to play the sleuth and enjoy the fun. The Bennington series begins on April 11 with a series of Mystery Book Seminars at the Bennington Free Library. The library will also host various programs for children throughout the month of May. In June, the Bennington library will host Monday Mystery Movies.
Oldcastle Theatre, Bennington Vermont’s own theatre company performs “Dangerous Obsession” throughout the month of June.
Our neighbor, Bennington College will host a conference presented by the Baker Street Breakfast Club from June 24-27, 2010.
In addition to the events above, are a Scavenger hunt, radio playhouse, clues to find the missing baby moose, mystery brew and more.
