Impressions of New England
The Bennington Center for the Arts is featuring “Impressions of New England” – a visual catalogue of New England that includes seascapes of the coastal regions of Maine and Cape Cod, the pastures and barns of rural New England and familiar well known mountains, streams, ponds and meadows. Among the works on display and for sale are “Days End, Hog Island Maine” by Steve Hamlin of Huntington Massachusetts.
Enjoy the exhibit at the Bennington Center for the Arts and learn about the history and building of Vermont Covered Bridges at the Covered Bridge Museum located in the same complex.
Bennington Center for the Arts is just 10 minutes from the Eddington House Inn and can be reached by car traversing one of our three covered bridges) into historic Old Bennington Village.
Bennington Center for the Arts is located at 44 Gypsy Lane in Bennington Vermont 05201 (if using a gps). Impressions of New England runs through December 18, 2011.
Closed on Tuesdays only. 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Adults: $9.00 Seniors/Students: $8.00 Families: $20

Bennington Center for the Arts
The Bennington Center for the Arts concert series continues with Banjo Dan and the Mid-nite Plowboys playing original and traditional bluegrass music on Friday August 5 at 8pm.
The show features original songs from the band’s latest CD “Fire in the Sugar House”, along with old and new country songs, gospel quartets and fiddle and banjo tunes.
The Bennington Center for the Arts is located about 10 minutes from the Eddington House Inn in nearby Old Bennington Village (Route 9 west at Gypsy Lane). I will be happy to assist with easy directions over the Silk Road Covered Bridge.

Lake Paran Music Festival
Lake Paran in North Bennington Vermont will host a weekend Bluegrass Festival on Friday July 30, Saturday July 31 and Sunday August 1, 2001. Lake Paran is a short walk from the Eddington House Inn.
This event will bring local and regional musicians, vendors and music lovers of all ages for a weekend of listening, dancing, swimming and picnicking. They’ll be 9 bands in 3 days of entertainment & the cost is only $30 dollars for the entire weekend. Kids under 12 are free and daily rates are also available.
While in North Bennington don’t forget to tour Park McCullough, check out the North Bennington ArtPark, take a hike through Mile Around Woods, have dinner at Kevin’s or Pangaea, check the exhibits at VAE and pack a picnic lunch for the Lake from Power’s Market. North Bennington Vermont…what a gem.

Bennington Free Library Benefit – Southern Vermont
The Bennington Free Library in Bennington Vermont will sponsor an evening with Johnathan Mahler, contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine and author of The Challenge: Hamdan vs Rumsfield and the Fight over Presidential Power and Ladies and Gentleman, the Bronx is Burning.
The Bennington Free Library was established in 1865 by Trenor W. Park and Seth B. Hunt, on the corner of Main and Silver Streets in beautiful downtown Bennington.
This benefit for the Bennington Free Library in Bennington Vermont will include a discussion, dessert reception and book signing and will be held at the Bennington Museum on Saturday June 5, 2010 at 7pm. The Bennington Museum is located on Route 9 in Old Bennington, is just 10 minutes from our Southern Vermont bed and breakfast.
