The Eddington House Inn

November in Southern Vermont

November has come, most of our leaves have fallen and things have slowed down a bit.  I took this shot this morning from the Inn looking out over the Green Mountains  &  Appalachian “Long Trail” just east of the Eddington House Inn . The sky is spectacular and drifts of smoke from chimneys can be seen as well….yes, November is here.

Still a great time for hiking, lots of great smelling leaves to kick through and the temperatures are brisk during the days.  Many trees are still FULL of orange and yellow leaves.  Time for museums and holiday shopping. Days are shorter and nights are colder…..we are gearing up for our winter season.
