Summer Theatre in the Shires

Steve & I were invited last evening to a reception for Southern Vermont bed and breakfast owners at the Dorset Theatre Festival in nearby Dorset, Vermont.  Vermont bed and breakfast getawayWe were greeted by the new theatre director, Dina Janis and treated to some wonderful tapas and live entertainment as we mingled with other innkeepers in the Shires of Vermont.  We heard about the pre-theatre cocktail hour prior to performances and got a preview of the artists who will be showing off their artwork in the theatre for each of the upcoming performances.

Dina told us a little about each performance and some of the wonderful actors who will be appearing in Dorset this summer.

The summer season begins with a play by Craig Wright, The Pavilion and runs from June 30-July 11. For a complete list of performance please visit

The Dorset Theatre Festival has generously offered a substantial ticket discount to our Shires of Vermont bed and breakfast guests.  Please give us a call to plan a theatre getaway to beautiful southern Vermont.
