Vermont Covered Bridges

A trip to our Vermont bed and breakfast wouldn’t be complete without a tour of the 5 Covered Bridges in Bennington County.
A driving tour will take you back to a time when covered bridges were seen as a necessity rather than a quaint structure. Crossing a Vermont covered bridge is like entering a portal of time, transporting you back to the days of horse and buggy. Vermont’s covered bridges span time and progress, linking more than just the opposite banks of a river or stream.
You’ll find 5 covered bridges within 15 minutes of the Eddington House Inn. One, the Henry Bridge Covered Bridge you can even walk to…it is a mile from our Vermont bed and breakfast and can be easily found by walking to the end of Park Street, a dirt road a block from our North Bennington Village bed and breakfast in Southern Vermont.
