Painting fences

Springtime is always repair time when you own a historic Vermont bed and breakfast.  Southern Vermont bed and breakfastWe are scraping old paint on our fence and the inn and replacing clapboards that have gone soft in our Vermont winter weather.  We are replacing screens in our old windows (love that old glass) and re-painting the porch and of course touching up here and there.

Our gardens are filling out and peonies will be blooming soon.  Don’t forget the beautiful peony gardens at the Lincoln family home, Hildene.  Hildene is located just 25 minutes north of our North Bennington Village bed and breakfast on Route 7A in Manchester.  Robert Todd Lincoln’s former home is available for tours.  The visitor center provides a film about the property and Lincoln family.  The grounds and views of this Southern Vermont home are breathtakingly beautiful.

Join us this Spring at our North Bennington Village bed and breakfast.  Experience the beautiful Spring gardens of Southern Vermont.
